We are currently looking for an Audiovisual Lead Technician for a Residential High-End Luxury Audiovisual & Home Automation Integrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation and integration of cutting-edge Audio/Video and Automation Systems in upscale residential settings. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless implementation and operation, delivering an unparalleled experience to clients through top-notch craftsmanship and attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical installation and Guidance for basic and advanced integration projects
  • Exhibit high-level experience and ability in technical processes, hardware, and software
  • Provide technical understanding and guidance for basic and advanced signal flow setup, configure, and test signal flow systems
  • Possess an understanding of rack building procedure and tying in racks on-site
  • Accurately document the installation procedure and complete the necessary paperwork
  • Interface with customers and vendors on job sites
  • Familiarity with product lines including Crestron, Savant, Sonos, Lutron
  • Working knowledge of Crestron, Control 4, Lutron, Hunter Douglas, DMX, Ubiquiti and/or Net Gear
  • Perform basic troubleshooting using various software and testing tools
  • Must have an understanding of AV floorplans, wire schedules, elevations & schematics
  • Basic understanding of lighting and shade systems including HomeWorks QS low voltage wiring, RPMs and breaker panels, 0-10v wiring, dimmers, keypads, repeaters, shade wiring, and setting shade limit.
  • Ability to interact seamlessly with Designers/Architects & Home Owners.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the AV Residential installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual, presentation systems, and IT/Networks.
  • Ability to travel is great to have.
  • Daily commute to Mississauga, Canada
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction
  • Communication and customer relation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites
  • Knowledgeable with AV Residential systems like Savant, Control4, Lutron, and Crestron Home.
  • CEDIA or InfoComm CTS Certification preferred. Any other key industry certifications are a plus.
