As a Business Systems Analyst, you manage the functional and non-functional requirements solicitation and requirements management process. You will use facilitation, interviewing, and concise communication techniques to extract business needs and work with Account Directors, Product Owners, Developers, Designers, and other technologists in the realization and implementation of those requirements. You are responsible for process analysis, data analysis, and systems analysis. You should possess or rapidly acquire depth and breadth in both business and technology domains. You will facilitate requirements sessions and ensure business needs are reflected in functional and non-functional requirements deliverables. Responsibilities Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to facilitate, interview, extract, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements Liaise with business stakeholders to understand industry trends and priorities that must be factored into solution designs Work in an Agile, iterative environment, supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and continuous delivery of requirements Define and communicate system requirements at the appropriate level of detail to drive the right technology solution Analyze and conceptualize the design of the solution, collaborating with Solution Architects, Vendors, Software Developers, and QA Analysts Acquire or develop business and technical acumen to represent both business and technology domains in solution sessions Assist with the creation of test strategies, test plans, and test summary reports to support Transition to Production processes Ensure security, privacy, and compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA, PIPEDA) are reflected in solution requirements Engage and coordinate with external vendors and integration partners to align requirements, APIs, and data exchange standards Recommend and lead changes to process and procedure improvements Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business, technology, and vendor teams Follow established enterprise practices, standards, and processes Maintain knowledge of current system standards and department methodologies Create interface mapping and specification documents with sufficient detail for developers Qualifications BSc in Business Administration or/and Computer Science 3+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Solution Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst, or strong business-side knowledge of the health and wellness space Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant information with attention to detail Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across teams Understanding of ETL (data transformation) processes, tools, and practices, including mapping specifications Ability to communicate complex information to peers and business audiences in natural language Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work both in a team and independently Analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Awareness of cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance frameworks in health/wellness technology CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) and/or Agile-related certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or Agile BA) are assets What’s In It For You Learn by working alongside our experts Extended health care and dental benefits A retirement savings plan with company contributions A suite of Health & Wellness offerings Mental health programs and support for you and your family Assistance for completing industry designations Competitive compensation At People Corporation we are committed to helping businesses succeed.
