Your new company We are currently recruiting for a Superintendent to work for a well-known Vancouver based General Contractor. The company undertakes a large amount of repeat business and prides themselves on building architecturally interesting projects as well as nurturing long term relationships with their clients. The company has a solid reputation within the industry and strongly advocates an ‘open book’ approach to projects. Work is undertaken in various sectors including commercial, residential and institutional with projects ranging in value from $10 - $100m. The company has a very close-knit team environment with many long term employees. Your new role The company is looking for a Superintendent to run a $20m institutional project in Burnaby that is due to start late Summer/Early Fall. The company has a very good reputation with their many repeat clients, Architects and the local trade contractor community, and thus trades are very motivated to participate in projects. You will be working as part of a close-knit team to make sure the project is a success. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for someone with 5+ years’ Superintendent experience local to the Vancouver market. Ideally you will be a confident communicator with strong technical knowledge, a good work ethic, as well as a track record of successfully completed projects. The project includes elements of mass timber construction so experience with this build form, or more general wood frame construction will be highly regarded. We are open to considering people that have institutional, commercial or multifamily project experience. You must have an honest demeanor and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with your trades and clients. What you'll get in return Working for this company. In exchange for your hard work and commitment you will receive a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000, bonus and benefits scheme.
