We are currently leading the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Independent Compensation Assessment for I&IT Workforce Augmentation Roles and are seeking an experienced Lead Compensation Consultant to drive the analytical, benchmarking, and reporting components of this high‑impact engagement. About the Role As the Lead Compensation Consultant , you will lead all analytical, research, and modeling work for the OPS engagement, ensuring data‑driven, defensible, and AODA‑compliant compensation deliverables. You will oversee market analysis for Fee‑for‑Service (FFS) and contractor roles, interpret complex market data, and produce reports that inform executive‑level decisions across the Ministry’s I&IT workforce. This role combines deep analytical work , market research , and client‑facing leadership —ideal for a senior compensation professional who thrives in high‑visibility, evidence‑based consulting environments. Key Responsibilities Deliverable A – Annual Independent Compensation Assessment Lead benchmarking for ~100 I&IT roles (Junior–Senior levels) across public and private sectors. Analyze market rates using robust data normalization and regression modeling methods. Prepare and present interim (T+8 days) and final compensation reports with actionable insights. Recommend markup standards and trend forecasts for I&IT contractor markets. Conduct biannual (September & January) market rate reviews using FFS data sources . Identify rate movements, market anomalies, and contractor supply shifts. Prepare concise variance reports and present findings to Ministry stakeholders. Support ad‑hoc compensation analyses within 3 business days (“just‑in‑time” briefs). Deliverable C (Optional) – Workforce Compensation Insights Platform (WCIP) Support deployment of a Power BI‑based data repository integrating OPS and public comparator rate data. Ensure traceability, accuracy, and AODA compliance in dashboards and analytical models. Provide client training and advisory support for platform use. Skills and Qualifications 10+ years of experience in compensation analysis, workforce benchmarking, or total rewards consulting . Advanced knowledge of Mercer, Randstad, Robert Half, ERI, PayScale, and Statistics Canada datasets. Strong understanding of public‑sector compensation frameworks and procurement environments. Proficiency in Excel , Power BI , and data modeling tools (SQL or Python an asset). Exceptional written and presentation skills; ability to deliver AODA/WCAG 2.1 AA compliant materials. Degree in Human Resources, Economics, Industrial Relations, or Data Analytics (Master’s or PhD preferred).
