Connaught Elementary School – Temporary Full‑Time School Liaison Position – REPOST – JB Living Sky School Division is looking for a new talent to join us as we reinvent the future of education. Connaught Elementary is a Pre‑K to grade 3 school where inclusion matters and the needs of students are at the centre of everything. We are a tight‑knit place with a great deal of community spirit. This person will demonstrate honesty, respect and integrity in his or her work with children, families and colleagues and must believe that every child has the ability to become great We welcome your interest. Summary of Position This is a temporary full‑time School Liaison position, commencing January 5, 2026 with a contract end date of June 30, 2026. Position hours are from 8:00 am to 4:15 pm Monday to Friday. Accountabilities Enhance relationships between school and home to meet student needs – including home visits. Provide support to students who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural dysregulation. Enhance connections to Indigenous and/or multicultural communities. Assist in the development and/or implementation of preventative programs and activities for individuals and groups. Build relationships and provide necessary connections with partner organizations to help families access needed resources and/or services. Qualifications Preference will be given to a candidate with post‑secondary training in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, or Sociology. Equivalent training and experience will be considered. The ability to offer life skills, social skills and anger management programming would be an asset. Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract with access to a reliable vehicle. The Right Person Will Have the capacity to interact with a broad range of public members in a positive manner. Have the ability to take initiative and work independently. Possess a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment. Have excellent communication skills.
