Aircraft Structural Assembler

**Job Title: Structural Assembler - CONTRACT****Job Description**Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Structural Assembler is responsible for installing and assembling components on an aircraft structure. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, hole layout, countersinking, and deburring. The assembler will fit and install conventional rivets and Hi-Lite fasteners, and assemble pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies, either at benches or directly on aircraft structures. The job also involves applying manual solvents, conductive chemical conversion treatments, and paint touch-ups.**Responsibilities**Install and assemble components on aircraft structures according to blueprints.Fit and install conventional rivets and Hi-Lite fasteners.Assemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassemblies.Apply manual solvents, conductive chemical treatments, and paint touch-ups.Operate a variety of power and hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and other equipment.Meet schedule and production requirements.Work as a strong team player, being flexible and willing to learn new tasks.Work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and overtime as required.Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and follow Health & Safety procedures.Pass a Pulmonary Fit Test (PFT) for respirator fitting, and maintain a clean-shaven face for proper respirator use.Work in restricted spaces or at heights, bend, twist, walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs, perform heavy lifting, and stand for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.**Essential Skills**Proficiency in blueprint reading, hole layout, countersinking, and deburring.6+ years of experience as an aircraft structural assembler.Ability to perform drilling, countersinking, torqueing, and installation as per blueprint instructions.Mechanical inclination and familiarity with pneumatic or power hand tools.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**Metal fabrication course, Aerospace structures course, or Aeronautical technology education or similar.**Why Work Here?**Join a Tier 1 Aero Structures Facility offering competitive compensation in the GTA.
