LIBURDI TURBINE SERVICES™ offers a wide range of engineering services and component repairs in support of the gas turbine industry for both aero derivative and industrial frame engines through facilities located both in Dundas, Ontario and Mooresville, North Carolina. The company specializes in the use of advanced technologies for the refurbishment of super alloy components.

Position Summary:

Successful candidates will become part of a team of highly motivated individuals engaged in the execution of repairs and upgrades for gas turbine hot section components at our Dundas facility. Other duties will include continuous improvement efforts for repair/manufacturing shop efficiency. The candidate needs to possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Motivation to take responsibility for process improvement
  • Ability to understand and interpret component drawings
  • Proven ability to commission and complete projects in a manufacturing shop environment
  • Initiative and have ability to multi-task
  • Hands on individual with a roll up the sleeves and get the job done attitude

Relevant Experience:

Experience in gas turbines, component mechanical design, manufacturing, and machining of superalloys will be considered strong selection attributes. Post secondary education in an engineering discipline is required

Experience in the following areas is considered relevant to the position:

  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Process improvement
  • Product or Process responsibility
  • Capable with CAD with preference for Solid Edge or Solid Works
  • Capable with CAM software with preference for MasterCAM
  • Mechanical design of gas turbine components
  • Fixture design for machining and inspection
  • Welding, brazing, HVOF and Coating technology
  • Note Industrial Technologists with above related experience are encouraged to apply
