Facility Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a 158‑bed acute care facility serving a population of approximately 90,000. It provides 24‑hour emergency and trauma services, acute services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics and diagnostic/paramedical services. PRH has a 7‑bed ICU and is a regional referral centre for hematology, transfusion medicine, and the UBC Faculty of Medicine. Since 2019 a new Patient Care Tower has expanded inpatient capacity. Practice Details Excellent opportunity for child and youth psychiatrists to practice in a welcoming community setting. Two positions are available at PRH. You will be part of a dedicated team of six psychiatrists delivering comprehensive, client‑centered care. The 16‑bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit offers acute mental health and substance use services. Outpatient services include Short‑Term Counseling, Community Case Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, Physical Activation, Anxiety and Depression, DBT groups, Seniors Mental Health, Rural Outreach, and a child and youth program with individual and group counselling. Opportunities exist for teaching medical students and participating in quality improvement and program development. Current call is approximately 1:5‑6 days with rotating weekends and remuneration at MOCAP Level 2. The position may also involve general psychiatry. Terms & Compensation Remuneration: $250,000–$400,000. Physician overhead: none. Benefits and Incentives Relocation funding: $9,000–$15,000 available for 1.0 FTE positions. Part‑time opportunities may receive pro‑rated reimbursement. Incentives are subject to change and confirmed at offer.
