**Forklift Operator (Afternoon)****Job Description**We are seeking a skilled forklift operator responsible for the off-loading and on-loading of goods from containers using a propane sit-down counterbalance forklift. The role requires operating the forklift for approximately 80% of the shift, maneuvering quickly and safely in tight quarters, and handling a variety of freight that may be heavy and of different shapes. The operator will also ensure accuracy in loading and unloading using paper shipping documents and will transition to using complex digital shipping software in the coming months. This position requires flexibility as the contract may extend based on internal hiring processes.**Work Environment**Experience a fast-paced, 24-hour operation with a bustling dock that hosts over 50 doors. The environment is multicultural and independent, with approximately 50 operators per shift. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, and shifts run from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm.**Responsibilities**Off-load and on-load goods from containers using a propane SDCB forklift.Operate the forklift quickly and safely in tight quarters.Handle various types of freight, including heavy and differently shaped items.Use paper shipping documents and transition to digital shipping software.Move small to large shipments efficiently.**Essential Skills**Minimum of 1-year experience operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift in a 3PL or LTL environment.Valid forklift certification.Proficient computer skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.Reliable transportation.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**2-5 years experience in LTL environments is a plus.Leadership experience is advantageous.Experience with Truck mate software is preferred.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Comfortable with shop talk and good English communication skills.**Why Work Here?**Enjoy growth opportunities with a 3% wage increase annually, annual bonuses, and a $200 boot allowance.
