Your Mission Brief WOLF seeks a full‑time Sr. Engineer, Hardware, SBC to join our high‑performance product development team in Aurora, ON (hybrid). Reporting to the Sr. Engineer, Technology: SBC & Embedded Security Solutions, you will design rugged single board computing solutions for aerospace and defence systems worldwide. Responsibilities Design and innovate by translating complex requirements into schematic designs for rugged embedded systems that meet strict aerospace and defence standards. Collaborate cross‑functionally with PCB, firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to integrate components into mission‑ready products. Drive performance by evaluating high‑speed interfaces, power distribution networks, and advanced GPUs/SoCs to push computing limits in extreme environments. Validate reliability by planning and executing compliance testing, thermal characterization, and bring‑up to ensure flawless performance under MIL‑STD conditions. Advance technology by researching and integrating cutting‑edge video, AI acceleration, and interconnect solutions into next‑generation designs. Document with precision by creating and reviewing detailed specifications, schematics, and BOMs that align with aerospace standards and internal processes. Champion quality by engaging with production and quality teams to optimize workflows, improve reliability, and streamline design‑to‑production cycles. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. 8+ years of experience designing mixed‑signal hardware systems. Proven expertise in schematic‑level design, high‑speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR4, GDDR6), and advanced video standards (HDMI, DisplayPort, SMPTE). Experience with MIL‑STD‑810, DO‑160, IPC standards, and rugged form factors such as VPX and XMC. Proficiency with Cadence OrCAD, Allegro PCB Editor, and related schematic/layout tools. Strong understanding of serial communication standards (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN Bus) and PCB routing for manufacturability and cost. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly. What You Bring to the Table Toolkit expertise: flexible use of schematic/layout platforms and rapid learning of new tools. Protocol and standards knowledge: aerospace and defence requirements, MIL‑STD‑810, DO‑160, IPC. Cross‑functional mindset and problem‑solving approach to meet stringent specifications.
