Senior Accountant – Finance – Guidewire We are hiring a Senior Accountant to support daily general ledger, month‑end close, and accounting operations. This role will be critical in purchase requisition review, prepaids, lease accounting, accruals, and related month‑end close process. Responsibilities Review and approve purchase requisitions and invoices. Execute general ledger functions including amortization for prepaids, leases, intangibles, and reconciliations between systems. Prepare monthly accounting close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and account flux analysis specific to assigned areas. Partner with facilities and technical accounting team on managing lease entries in Costar and recording lease entries in accordance with ASC 842. Assist and ensure accounting systems scaling and functionality. Support SEC team with schedule preparation and analysis. Respond to audit requests and inquiries from internal and external auditors. Work on ad‑hoc projects with the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller as needed. Leverage emerging technologies and data‑driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes. Qualifications BS or BA in Accounting or related field. 4+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment, preferably in the software industry. Strong experience and knowledge in US GAAP and SOX internal controls. Experience with Oracle Fusion, Blackline, Coupa, Costar is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, cross‑functionally, and as part of a team. Advanced MS Excel skills. Familiarity or interest in leveraging AI tools or technologies in accounting workflows is a plus. Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to the role and use data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement. Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced environment and solve complex problems. Salary and Benefits US base salary range: $94,000 – $142,000. Base pay depends on experience, skills, education, training, and location. Eligible for health, dental, vision insurance; paid time off; company‑sponsored retirement plan; annual bonus plan; commission and long‑term incentive awards. All full‑time positions working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits.
