Job Description Electrical Engineer (Mining) Location: Sudbury or North Bay, ON In this role, you will be part of the Mining Team based in Sudbury or North Bay, ON. What a day at EXP has in store for you PLC, Power, Automation, and instrumentation mining experience required. Responsible for maintaining high engineering quality standards on assigned projects. Oversees development of design concepts by designers, ensuring proper application and execution. Verifies work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittals, equipment selection, and drawings. Applies EXP’s risk management practices to electrical engineering projects. Possesses a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts. Encourages collaboration to find optimal solutions. Manages work plans and deliverables across multiple projects within budgeted hours. Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting requirements or difficult coordination. Performs front-end loading of electrical systems for projects. Contributes to revisions of design standards and master specifications. Evaluates value engineering options considering risk. Develops basis of design narratives and documents project scope. Develops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc. Participates in HAZOP, PHA, and safety reviews. What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. EIT or registered P.Eng. At least 3 years of experience in mining or industrial industries.
