Join to apply for the Assistant Store Manager role at Canna Cabana About the Role Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM works collaboratively with the SM and company management to manage, maintain and supervise day‑to‑day retail operations at the store location. Responsibilities Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. Support SM and team members, provide constructive feedback for professional growth. Assist SM on work procedures and policies, ensuring understanding and compliance with SOPs. Be accessible and responsive to team member questions, suggestions and conflict resolution. Lead by example in a high‑volume retail store environment. Utilize customer and team member feedback to immediately implement improvements. Track employee and store sales daily to ensure optimal performance. Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations, organize reporting and paperwork. Assist SM with inventory, sales and compliance audits. Perform daily opening and closing procedures. Ensure sales floor is adequately stocked. Coordinate with management and senior leadership for inventory audits and reconciliations. Log and dispose of expired, damaged or returned product according to regulations. Assist in receiving and ensuring deliveries are compliant and accurate. Provide daily correspondence via email and manager’s log. Comply with HR policies, confidentiality and non‑disclosure agreements. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications 4‑5+ years of retail management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience managing in a Unionized environment. Knowledge of cannabis plants, strains and retail regulations (AGCO). Must have or obtain a CannSell (AGCO) license within the first month. Clean criminal background check. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting. Excellent leadership, management, time‑management and prioritization skills. Strong communicator and problem‑solving skills. Organized, flexible, empathetic, detail‑oriented and proactive. Entrepreneurial, collaborative, positive attitude. Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and multiple locations.
