Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (Platform – Payments) At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. If so, read on. What you’ll be doing Design, develop and maintain backend and frontend payments systems and infrastructure across Coinbase. Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for key projects, driving them from design to production with high accountability. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap. Mentor and train other team members and contribute to building a strong, inclusive, high‑performing engineering culture. Troubleshoot and debug complex full‑stack issues, ensuring performance, stability, reliability, and security. What we look for in you At least 5 years of software engineering experience. Strong software engineering skills in building reliable backend services and fast, accessible UIs. Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Golang) and API design. Strong collaboration skills with product, design and engineering teams. Knowledge of high‑quality code and engineering processes. Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together. Nice to haves Experience with Golang, gRPC, Docker, Kafka, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks. Experience in the financial domain. Crypto‑forward experience (e.g., interacting with Ethereum, ENS, dApps, blockchain services). Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full‑time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity, and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision). Pay Range: $191,100 CAD - $191,100 CAD.
