Senior Financial Analyst – Global Trade Management

Job Title Senior Financial Analyst Location Toronto, ON, Canada Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team at our headquarters in Toronto, ON. This Senior Financial Analyst will support the business units under the GTM division, which includes Managed Services, Consulting and Software. This position will be reporting to the GTM FP&A Director. Key Duties & Responsibilities Partners with business unit leader and/or senior management to analyze and provide financial guidance. Proposes solutions, potential savings or actions to mitigate business trends. Performs variance analysis proactively throughout the month and after results are final to inform senior leadership of key drivers. Leads forecasting and budgeting process for the GTM business units. Prepares and distributes financial reporting packages to assigned business unit leader(s) and senior management in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with company guidelines and financial reporting requirements. Invests time in understanding how the business operates. Collaborates with the GTM FP&A team to ensure consistent reporting and analysis. Leads projects and advocates for process improvements within FP&A and across other functions. Prepares and reviews business case justification which includes financial and strategic rationale. Liaises with internal and external auditor. Responds to requests for information and reports. Prepares ad-hoc reports and analysis when requested. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. CPA designation or working towards obtaining the designation. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Financial Analysis role. Experience forecasting/budgeting with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think three steps ahead. Ability to work independently with business leaders and without much supervision. Ability to take initiative and constructively challenge the status quo to improve processes. Experience working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and prioritizing various deliverables. Knowledge of IFRS and audit standards. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Advanced knowledge in MS Excel; Hyperion and SQL experience strongly preferred; Qlik experience a plus.
