The Position We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience building scalable web services and consumer‑facing applications. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering end‑to‑end product features that power our customer experience — working across React, TypeScript, Express, and Python. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to architect and build performant, maintainable systems that make award travel more intuitive for millions of users. What You’ll Do Lead the end‑to‑end development of new features — from technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment — ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Write clean, scalable, and testable code. Establish and uphold strong architectural patterns and contribute to continuous improvements in our development practices. Build and maintain reliable web services and integrations that connect our frontend applications with real‑time data sources and external APIs. Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user needs into robust technical solutions that scale. Contribute to a culture of learning through code reviews, technical discussions, and mentorship of junior developers. What We’re Looking For Advanced skills in React, TypeScript, and Express, with working knowledge of Python for backend services and data processing. Strong grasp of software design patterns, testing strategies, and database design principles. Proven ability to deliver high‑quality features quickly, balancing iteration speed with maintainable code. Takes full responsibility for end‑to‑end delivery — from design to production monitoring — with a focus on long‑term quality. Excellent communicator and collaborator across technical and non‑technical teams. Capable of structuring ambiguous problems, prioritizing effectively, and articulating clear implementation plans. Who You Are 5+ years of professional experience building modern web applications and backend services. Proficient in React, TypeScript, and Express; exposure to Python, Flask, or FastAPI is a plus. Experience building, testing, and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred). Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment where autonomy and initiative are valued.
