Purpose of Role The purpose of this role is to provide effective and timely technical support to end‑users concerning hardware and software. Role Accountabilities Help Desk Operations Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support Track route and redirect problems to correct resources End User Support Walk business users and peers through problem solving process Follow up with users, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution Perform user, mobile, telephone, and computer provisioning activities to deliver desktop services to business users. Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed end users’ expectations Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of incidents Recommend procedure modifications or improvements Preserve and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products and services Act as the first tier of support function and elevate to higher tiers or third‑party service providers where applicable and appropriate Maintain high levels of IT user satisfaction throughout all interactions Procurement, Contract, and Administrative Support Perform procurement activities for technology requests and stock items for manager approval Perform contract renewals to ensure that no risks or gaps in services occur. Experience and Qualifications 2+ years of related experience Post‑secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Wireless Communication or a related discipline A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) designation preferred Experience in a related role requiring timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization, troubleshooting, and working independently to successfully install, configure, maintain, and support Windows desktop operating systems and software Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system preferred but not required Knowledge & Skills ITIL Methodology Proficient with the following technologies: Windows 10 & 11 Google Workspace suite Microsoft Office (O365) Local Account Management MFA (Microsoft Authentication), SSO (ADFS) VPNs iOS/Android Installs and removals, Registry, Command line, Service management systems and System Management Tools Strong and effective customer relationship management skills and process/practice experience Understands the importance and is vigilant with Cybersecurity matters Personal Attributes Must have exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders Must be able to communicate effectively with other technical team members and senior IT management and elevate problems appropriately Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts and technologies Customer‑centric approach is a must‑have Travel 5% to 10% travel Why Hudbay At Hudbay our values of Dignity & Respect, Caring, Openness and Trustworthiness are embedded into our culture by the way we work and how we interact with one another.
