Principal Cyber Security Analyst Position Number: Pool Ref 3273 Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time Closing Date: 4:00 PM Help shape the future of the Western Australia Public Sector. The Office of Digital Government is looking to establish a pool of Cyber Security professionals that will help protect the Government’s information assets through the coordination and delivery of cyber programmes and controls. This pool will operate for a period of 24 months and will be accessed by other Public Sector agencies. By applying for this pool, you agree for your application to be shared amongst multiple Public Sector agencies. About the Role As a Principal Cyber Security Analyst, you will draw on your expertise of cyber security threats, cyber situational awareness, incident management to support agencies in meeting the requirements of the WA Cyber Security Policy. Required Skills and Specialities Network monitoring, firewall/security device configuration, incident response, threat hunting, and threat intelligence Government, Risk, and Compliance: Assessment of cyber and information security risk; implementation and/or monitoring of security frameworks Knowledge of industry standards and good practice, e.g., Australian Signals Directorate Essential 8, ISO 27001 family, NIST Cyber Security Framework Assurance activities including gap analysis, audit/review, and vulnerability assessment Security testing, including vulnerability assessments Knowledge of contemporary enterprise IT environments Knowledge of common cloud platforms and concepts (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365) Knowledge of the public sector and state government Application Requirements A current and detailed resume / Curriculum Vitae outlining your current and previous achievements A written application no more than two (2) pages, demonstrating your experience and how you are able to perform the role in the context of the role-specific requirements and capabilities as detailed in the attached JDF Proof of identity 100-point check (details will be advised after selection) A satisfactory National Police Certificate issued by the Western Australia Police Equity and Diversity The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is committed to improving employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
