Job Title: Front End Designer – Senior Location: Edmonton, Alberta Contract Duration: 12 months (possible extension up to 24 months) Project Overview Client is expanding digital service delivery to improve user experience and operational efficiency across ministries. The Digital Design and Delivery Division (3D) acts as GoA’s central hub for digital innovation, service design, and agile transformation. The division requires up to three (3) Front End Designers to support digital transformation, service modernization, and user experience enhancement projects. The designers will collaborate within cross-functional agile teams—including product owners, developers, and researchers—to design, test, and deliver intuitive and accessible digital services for Albertans. Scope of Work Designing and implementing creative, evidence-based front-end design solutions aligned with GoA’s digital standards. Developing design artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, design pattern libraries, and graphic design style guides. Creating build-ready design specifications to support technical implementation. Conducting usability testing , analyzing user feedback, and iterating designs based on findings. Applying accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure inclusive design for all users. Participating in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and demos). Collaborating with UX researchers to plan and execute design research activities . Providing design recommendations and documentation for project teams, program areas, and senior management. Deliverables will evolve iteratively based on emerging business and user needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-centric front-end designs for GoA digital platforms. Build and manage component libraries and design systems for consistency across products. Translate complex service requirements into visual and interaction design concepts . Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design implementation. Conduct usability evaluations and produce testing reports. Ensure designs comply with branding, privacy, and accessibility standards . #J-18808-Ljbffr
