Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future. Staff Developer – Enterprise Ready Team We are seeking a Staff Developer to join our Enterprise Ready Team. In this critical role, you will shape the architecture and evolution of the Enterprise Password Manager product at 1Password. Your leadership will influence our strategic direction, align with business goals, pioneer new technologies, and set best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. This role is remote within Canada and the US. What we’re looking for Deep expertise in system architecture, software development, and emerging technologies. Empathetic leadership, inspiring teams through mentorship, collaboration, and shared success. Hands‑on leadership with a proven track record of leading successful engineering projects. Clear communication of complex technical concepts to stakeholders, influencing strategy at multiple levels, and reviewing proposals for new technologies. Technical goal setting and project ownership, delivering quality standards on time. Problem‑solving acumen, bias toward action, simplification, continuous improvement. Eagerness to stay updated with the latest developments in relevant technologies. What you can expect Inspire engineering efforts, ideate and implement new solutions and technologies. Spearhead development of critical products and features focused on the admin persona of Enterprise Password Manager. Shape technical direction and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. Develop a culture of excellence, mentor engineers at all career stages. Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, facilitating meetings and decision‑making. Tackle complex technical problems, anticipate roadblocks, and offer creative and efficient solutions. Bonus points for Advanced skills in Go or TypeScript. Experience in multi‑tenancy or multi‑region application architectures. Compensation USA‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $190,000 and $258,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program, generous paid time off, an equity grant, and incentive programs. Canada‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $172,000 and $232,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program, paid time off, an equity grant, and incentive programs.
