What You’ll Be Doing The Market Vice President, Commercial Banking is responsible for Commercial Banking’s current and potential clients in the market. They lead a team of team leaders, individual contributors and support staff to meet client needs and drive business growth. The role involves managing a spectrum of credit and cash‑management complexity and leveraging broader market partnerships to deliver a full range of Commercial Banking solutions. How You’ll Succeed Provide leadership and effective management of business unit staff, fostering employee commitment and client experience. Identify new client accounts and pursue opportunities, staying abreast of industry changes and maintaining an internal network of CIBC contacts. Own financial results: revenue, non‑interest revenue, credit and deposit growth, and new client acquisition. Ensure client experience excellence, including retention, marketing, and portfolio performance. Activate market development through client segmentation, targeting, relationship planning, and community involvement. Drive people development: coaching, performance evaluation, development plans, and talent pipeline management. You have a strong local business presence, multiple industry expertise areas, and extensive experience managing higher‑risk complex relationships. You are fluent in French and English to serve our community clients.
