Data Center Technician Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Data center Technician with knowledge in database and system on site support, general IT and deployment support, and physical site service support to place at our client, a Big Five Tech Giant. We have personally qualified the requirement with the hiring manager. Client: Big Five Tech Giant, a multinational technology corporation Terms: 6-month contract, possible extension Location: Toronto, On Site Job Description: Summary: The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. Job Responsibilities: • Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance • Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program • Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs • Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports Qualifications: • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required • 0-2 years' experience required • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
