The Principal Product Manager, Audit AI role leads the delivery of end‑to‑end product experiences that revolutionize the financial statement audit process for U.S. tax & accounting professionals. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Product Management for Audit in the Accounting, Tax, Practice & Audit Product team, supporting the Tax, Accounting, and Audit Professionals business. As a Principal Product Manager, AI Audit, you will work closely with colleagues from Product, Design, Engineering, and AI Labs teams to deliver on this mission. About The Role As a Principal Product Manager, you will engage with customers to understand their needs and promote our vision, advocate with stakeholders, refine product strategy, define and act on product metrics, create business cases, plan the roadmap, and drive delivery. You will be accountable for maximizing customer and business value with our AI‑powered audit experience. Responsibilities Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities, and offering potential solutions with minimal guidance. Build world‑class capabilities and products by creating a vision, maintaining the roadmap, and partnering closely with product managers, designers, and technology teams to execute efficiently. Take extreme ownership of assigned audit products, their performance, and reliability, delighting clients with a positive experience. Apply deep AI expertise to inspire teams to ideate and experiment with AI, sharing unique perspectives on how AI can advance the tax, accounting, and audit profession. About You Curious & innovative, obsessed with customer problems and needs. Agile with a strong sense of urgency, delivering solutions against strict timelines in a fast‑paced environment. Effective communicator, projecting confidence and communicating clearly with management, peers, customers, and partners. Foundational Skills Deep understanding of GenAI vs. traditional ML approaches and their product implications. Experience with AI product evaluation, experimentation, delivery, and performance optimization. Strong data analysis skills and quantitative comfort. Background in AI search, ranking systems, LLM/agentic products. Direct experience in the financial audit industry strongly preferred. Product Leadership Proven track record of shipping impactful AI products at scale. Systems thinking approach to complex product challenges. Strong product sense on where AI technology is heading. Experience balancing “good enough” to launch vs. perfect in fast‑moving environments. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of Product Management experience. Experience in fintech, with previous experience creating tax & accounting SaaS products strongly preferred. Proven high energy, highly collaborative approach in cross‑functional matrixed environments. Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office locations include New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, McLean, VA, and Washington, DC. For any eligible U.S. locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $154,000 – $286,000.
