Position Details Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager and Chief Mechanic. Location: Petawawa, Ontario. Responsible for CH47 Phase Inspections in support of 450 THS, Canadian Airforce. Position Responsibilities Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul, configuring aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction. Basic Qualifications (Required) 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required, preferred on CH47 platform. Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME‑E) licensed or Military equivalent. Legally able to work in Canada. Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment. Must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods. Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance. Eligible to handle US export‑controlled data. Preferred Qualifications Post‑secondary education. Successfully completed a formal CH147‑type training course related to aviation specialty taught by an acceptable training organization. Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS). Active Secret Level II Security Clearance. Additional Information This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US‑based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment. Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is $80,000–$93,000 annually. This is a full‑time opportunity that provides full company paid benefits, and a retirement savings plan. Security clearance: Must obtain and maintain a Secret Level II clearance from the Canadian government. Controlled Goods: Must be eligible to handle US export‑controlled data and consent to the Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
