Municipal Principal Engineer

Job Description Parsons is hiring a Municipal Principal Engineer to support municipal clients in Canada. The role involves leading infrastructure projects in roads, drainage, utilities, and related municipal systems, applying core civil engineering principles. Responsibilities Independently develop engineering designs for roads, drainage, hydrology, utilities, and related municipal projects. Produce detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses. Prepare permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates, and verify engineering analytical data to ensure accuracy of design/technical reports. Provide support for other engineering activities as required. Perform other responsibilities as appropriate to the position. Qualifications 4‑year degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 12 or more years of related civil engineering work experience. P.Eng. certification preferred. Proficiency in civil/drainage design software such as AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation V8i, Geopak, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA‑SWMM, ArcGIS, SMS w/ SRH‑2D, HydroCAD, CivilStorm, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, or similar. Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $95,300 - $177,100.
