Senior Software Engineer

Overview We\'re searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and drive the development of our cutting-edge customer intelligence products. In this role, you\'ll collaborate closely with the Engineering Director, software architects, and fellow engineers to design and develop new AI-powered features , build a platform-wide agentic AI service, modernize, and re-architect existing services to meet increasing demand and accelerate feature development for our market-leading cloud product. As a Senior Software Engineer at Alida, you\'ll make a significant impact by building products used by top global brands and millions of users worldwide. What You’ll Do Design, develop, test, and deploy high quality scalable code for cloud-based software solutions Bring your ideas and expertise to our always evolving agile development process Build new UI workflows, RESTful APIs, and scalable robust cloud-based applications Contribute to architecture for the platform-wide dataflows and services Maintain high standards of security, reliability, scalability, performance, and quality in all delivered projects Play a critical role in helping to shape our technical roadmap as we scale our services and build new products Coach and mentor junior members of staff to help them achieve their full potential and grow their careers and technical skillset What You’ll Bring 5+ years of professional experience in software development BSc in Computer Science or equivalent Extensive experience with NodeJS/Typescript, React, Relational DB development and design Experience in AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, Microservice architecture, application health monitoring tools Experience with .NET and .NET core technologies Ability to identify key issues and deliverables relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision, then building an integrated plan for course of action to accomplish this vision A passion for designing and building high-performance, scalable products and platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Considered a plus Prior experience working in an agile software/SaaS or technology company Experience building features using GenAI Experience with Event-driven architecture design and implementation Additional details The typical salary range for this role is $110,000-120,000 CAD. This is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is intended to be based in our Vancouver office, we work on a hybrid basis.
