Job Summary:

The CMDB Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with a focus on the Database, Mainframe, and Facilities classes. This role involves overseeing configuration items (CIs) and ensuring the CMDB remains up-to-date through regular communication with data owners and governance meetings.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee processes related to configuration items (CIs) ensuring CMDB accuracy.
  • Maintain regular communication with data owners and participate in governance meetings for data validation and accuracy.
  • Monitor for data gaps and work with data owners to remediate these gaps.
  • Review and manage relationships between CIs, providing guidance to data owners.
  • Ensure new CI records adhere to established guidelines.
  • Research and resolve issues raised, provide recommendations, and drive remediation processes to successful completion.
  • Recommend enhancements and improved processes to support the CMDB and data owners.
  • Identify and document requirements for development.
  • Create and execute test cases and drive enhancements to successful release in the production environment.


Requirements:

  • ServiceNow experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ITIL practices preferred.
  • Strong communication and governance skills.
  • Ability to identify and remediate data gaps.
  • Experience with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of a CMDB.
  • Proficient in researching issues, providing recommendations, and driving remediation processes.
  • Ability to recommend and implement process enhancements for CMDB support.
