Job Overview The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of both upstream (pre‑market/early‑stage) and downstream (post‑launch) marketing for on‑market products and new product introductions. The primary focus is the Canadian market, with support for US initiatives as required. Key Responsibilities Lead upstream and downstream marketing strategies, ensuring seamless transition from product development to commercialization. Provide US market support and collaborate with cross‑border teams. Oversee ongoing marketing strategies, product positioning, and brand development for in‑line products. Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches, including market research, messaging, and sales enablement. Collaborate with omni‑channel and digital teams to execute digital awareness tactics. Lead annual strategic planning, market sizing, customer insights, market trends, competitive overview, and marketing tactics. Build and adapt commercial strategies in partnership with General Manager, reflecting market dynamics and VOC. Work closely with global product teams, executive leadership, sales, training, market access, medical affairs, and other stakeholders. Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer insights to adjust tactics. Oversee marketing budgets and ensure cost‑effective execution. Ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory and corporate guidelines. Manage strategic and tactical agencies to align with strategy and optimize spend. Create and drive annual strategic planning documents, synthesizing business and cross‑functional plans. Potential to lead and mentor a high‑performing marketing team member. Key Capabilities Technical and clinical marketing expertise, translating unmet needs into actionable strategy. Experience building and executing advocacy and engagement strategies. Strong analytical skills, measuring and optimizing ROMS and ROI. Demonstrated ability to build and adapt commercial strategies based on VOC and competitive intelligence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Social Sciences, Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. 7+ years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry, including product launch and lifecycle management. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and/or medical device markets, including regulatory and market access environments. Proven track record of cross‑functional team leadership and stakeholder engagement. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and project management skills. Bilingual (French & English) skills preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams. Travel Requirements 25%–50% travel required, including customer visits and VOC activities.
