We are looking for a Platform Engineer for a 6 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and modern IaC frameworks. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins , GitOps , and custom automation scripts. Administer and optimize Azure environments, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence. Deploy, configure, and support Databricks workspaces to power large-scale data and analytics workloads. Manage and enhance API Management (APIM) and APIOps pipelines to streamline API lifecycle processes. Troubleshoot production incidents and proactively mitigate performance or availability issues. Collaborate closely with architecture, security, and governance teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards. Contribute to team sprints and standups using JIRA , maintaining transparency on tasks and priorities. Stay ahead of emerging technologies, applying new concepts to evolve our platform capabilities. Required Qualifications: 6+ years of hands-on experience designing infrastructure using Terraform or equivalent IaC tools. 5+ years working with Jenkins , GitOps , and scripting (e.g., Groovy , Python ). Proven track record managing Azure cloud environments in enterprise-scale deployments. 3+ years of experience integrating and maintaining Databricks platforms. Strong knowledge of APIM/APIOps frameworks and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AI/GenAI solutions and their operational requirements. Background in data engineering or analytics-focused infrastructure. Advanced scripting and automation experience using Python or similar tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to construct platforms using standardized IaC modules and DevOps pipelines. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to incident management and root-cause analysis. Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team. Strong teamwork and stakeholder management capabilities. Organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple concurrent priorities. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , Engineering , or an equivalent discipline.
