Employer Industry: Database and Cloud Services Why consider this job opportunity Competitive total rewards package with opportunities for professional development Flexible remote work arrangement with no daily office travel required Collaborative environment with industry‑leading professionals Substantial training allowance for skill enhancement and certifications Annual wellness budget for personal health and well‑being Generous paid vacation and sick days, including a day off for volunteering What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) Provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure for diverse clients Analyze and improve client infrastructure, recommending best practices for operational procedures Administer backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, ensuring maximum uptimeDevelop and review action plans for maintenance, deployment, and upgrades Prepare client status and incident reports, maintaining alignment with client operating procedures What is Required (Qualifications) Knowledge and experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading PostgreSQL databases Experience administering PostgreSQL in virtualized and cloud environments, particularly AWS, GCP, or Azure Proficiency in scripting (bash/python) and familiarity with automation technologies like Ansible and Terraform Strong debugging skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues methodically Excellent documentation skills How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Understanding of IT service standards such as ITIL Hands‑on experience in monitoring PostgreSQL databases using industry‑standard tools Familiarity with High Availability solutions for PostgreSQL, including Patroni and repmgr Experience with PostgreSQL backup tools and managing disaster recovery processes Knowledge of database migrations from various engines to PostgreSQL #DatabaseConsultant #CloudServices #RemoteWork #CareerGrowth #PostgreSQL #WorkLifeBalance We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal‑opportunity employment.
