Position Overview The Operations Team Lead (OTL) is a hands-on professional who works in our warehouse supporting the Operations Manager as a Second in Command (2IC). The OTL is responsible for playing a key role in achieving and maintaining operational excellence with a focus on continuous improvement. It requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach in driving efficiencies and delivering a high standard of customer-focused service. The OTL is committed to fostering a safe and positive workplace environment. Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Responsibilities · Leadership:  Assist Operations Manager with the delegation of tasks/assignments to optimize workflow and achieve daily service goals. Be a key point of contact and direct Supervisor for picking & shipping staff on day-to-day inquiries and solutions. Provide training, coaching, and feedback, to maximize team performance. · Process Improvement: Work collaboratively with team to identify areas of improvement to drive 5S methodologies and achieve operational excellence. Be instrumental in change management and technology advancements · Overall facility cleanliness & organization:  maintain physical condition of the warehouse, suggesting new design layouts and ensuring overall appearance meets high standards. · OH&S Lead:  Implement safety practices and processes ensuring all federal, provincial and local requirements are met. Provide training and education · Equipment:  maintain facility equipment, ensuring good working order and that all preventative maintenance schedules are met · Reporting:  establish and ensure the achievement of all goals and objectives are met through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) · Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Distribution/Warehouse/Management Role • Experience in Customer Service Role preferred • Exceptional written, and verbal communication skills • Forklift certified/experienced Required • Accountable, dependable with strong problem-solving skills • Able to work in a team environment as well as independently. • Highly proficient in using a computer, including advanced Microsoft Office software experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)• Exceptional attention to detail and quality of work • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills • Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks If interested in this role, please send your resume to: recruitment-recrutement@stevens.ca Why Work at Stevens?
