Job Title: Business Analyst – Senior Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Duration: 18+ Months (Possibility of Extension) Client: Public Sector Key Skills & Expertise: 10+ years of extensive experience as a Business Analyst with strong expertise in: • Business functional modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping • Requirements gathering, documentation, presentations, stakeholder engagement • Business Cases, UI/Screen Design, Business Process Models, PIA and TRA documentation • IT service value stream mapping • Disaster Recovery Planning (nice to have)• Experience working with multi-ministry integrated government services • Strong understanding of system environments, security, privacy, and accessibility compliance • Experience preparing detailed analysis aligning with public sector and industry standards • Ability to document functional and non-functional requirements clearly and comprehensively • Experience using architectural framework systems including Zachman Framework (must have)• Experience using CASE tools, UML, and JAD approaches • Knowledge of structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies • Experience developing enterprise architecture documentation including: Gating/Checkpoint Matrix Logical & Physical Documentation Logical & Physical Deployment Models Business Architecture Approach Sequence Diagrams Data Flow Diagrams Cross-functional Process Flows Architectural deliverables for approval (ACT/ARB) Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of system design principles, development methodologies, and programming concepts • Experience with wireframes, use cases, user stories (must have)• Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 compliance and AODA accessibility standards (must have)• Exposure to enterprise-wide systems and diverse business environments • Knowledge of Large Language Models and Generative AI applications • Knowledge of Big Data platforms • Knowledge and experience with DevOps practices Project Experience: • Minimum 5 years of hands-on enterprise architecture documentation • OPS (Ontario Public Service) project experience • Experience working within Agile delivery environments • Experience with resource and dependency management • Experience with large-scale business/IT transformation programs Communication Skills: • Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities • Proven experience communicating and negotiating with stakeholders • Ability to work in team-based environments and consistently meet deadlines Must Have Requirements: • Disaster recovery planning experience – Minimum 2–3 years • Business process mapping / value stream mapping experience – MUST HAVE • Lean Six Sigma experience – MUST HAVE • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation experience – MUST HAVE • Experience developing coherent project artifacts for multiple stakeholder groups • Experience with Zachman architectural framework (general understanding acceptable)• Strong experience as a Business Analyst with solid Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) understanding
