Workday Payroll Lead

Workday Payroll Consultant US or Canada Permanent and Contract About the role We are working with a leading global Workday partner with a very strong pipeline of Workday Payroll projects across the United States and Canada. They are expanding their dedicated Payroll deployment team and are looking for experienced Workday Payroll specialists who want to focus on end to end deployments and grow into future leadership roles. Key responsibilities Lead Workday Payroll US or Canada workstreams from design through to go live, including discovery, requirements, configuration, testing, cutover and post go live support Act as the primary Payroll contact for client stakeholders in HR, Finance and Technology and be the voice of Payroll on the project Plan and run client workshops, gather and document requirements, and present design decisions to senior stakeholders Demonstrate and explain complex Workday Payroll functionality in a clear and confident way Work closely with technical teams on integrations for Payroll inputs and outputs, including Time, Benefits, General Ledger and third party providers Guide and support junior consultants on your projects, acting as a mentor and role model within the Workday practice Contribute to practice tools, templates and delivery methods to drive consistent, high quality Payroll deployments Balance client expectations with commercial and project constraints, knowing when to push back, when to escalate and when to go the extra mile for the customer Permanent profile Strong hands on experience with Workday Payroll US or Canada At least two or three full end to end Workday Payroll deployments where you acted as a lead or key functional consultant Recent configuration experience across core Payroll areas such as earnings and deductions, taxes, time off and leave, inputs and results validation Experience leading a functional workstream on a Workday implementation across the full lifecycle Background in a Workday partner or customer side environment delivering Workday Payroll projects If you are not currently with a partner, you can be fully supported with Workday certification as long as you bring around three end to end Payroll deployments as a lead Strong consulting skills, including presenting, leading workshops and explaining complex solutions in simple terms Excellent communication skills, able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues in both remote and onsite settings Contractor profile Already certified in Workday Payroll US or Canada Have supported at least three Workday Payroll US or Canada deployments in the last three years in a lead or senior role Able to step into complex live deployments and quickly build credibility with client stakeholders Comfortable working in fast moving project environments with clear deliverables and timelines focused on deployment What you will get Opportunity to join a Workday partner that is recognised as one of the best in the ecosystem Excellent reputation in the market and a very strong pipeline of Workday Payroll projects Chance to work alongside some of the best Workday consultants in this space and learn from experienced leaders Clear progression path into solution leadership and people leadership, with structured mentoring and support for your career goals For permanent roles, a competitive salary plus a twenty percent annual bonus and strong benefits Milestone travel to client sites for key workshops, testing phases and go live support, while working primarily remotely Strong culture of learning with support to grow across related areas such as Time Tracking, Absence, HCM, Financials and integrations Location and travel Open to candidates across North America with deep experience in Workday Payroll US or Canada Primarily remote working with some travel to client sites for key project milestones How to apply If you are an experienced Workday Payroll US or Canada consultant who meets the above profile and want to join a leading Workday partner with real progression and a great project pipeline, please apply with your resume and I will contact you to discuss the details. paddy.malaj@focuscloud.org
