About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Senior Quality Engineer to lead day-to-day delivery and collaboration efforts across agile teams. This role is pivotal in driving quality-first development practices, enabling in-sprint automation, and ensuring robust test coverage through BDD and continuous integration. Key Responsibilities: Sprint-Level Test Ownership: Lead test planning and execution within sprints, ensuring alignment with the Definition of Done (DoD). BDD Facilitation: Drive Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices by conducting 3 Amigos sessions with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and QEs. Shift-Left Testing: Collaborate closely with developers to integrate testing early in the development cycle and enable in-sprint automation. Regression Suite Optimization: Continuously improve regression test coverage based on defect leakage insights and release feedback. Release Sign-Off: Coordinate and lead release quality validation, ensuring all quality gates are met before production deployment. Test Case Gap Analysis: Identify and address gaps in BDD scenarios and automation coverage, ensuring comprehensive test design. Scenario Quality Guidance: Mentor QEs in writing clear, behavior-focused Gherkin scenarios and reviewing for quality and completeness. Defect Management: Support defect triaging and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for post-release issues. Required Skills & Experience: Programming & Automation: Java 8, Selenium or Playwright, Rest Assured Cloud & DevOps: AWS Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, Batch Testing Testing Frameworks: BDD with Cucumber, API Testing Database & Scripting: Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities in cross-functional agile teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and TestRail ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus Disclaimer Capgemini is an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
