Title: Responsible Data Lead, EDMLocation: Canada 100% remote, same time zone The candidate must have the following qualifications: Required:5 to 10+ years of relevant experience in MDM, data migration, or ETL development, including leading delivery teams.Analyze data sources and requirements to develop a comprehensive data migration and MDM plan.Represent the Data team within the program, ensure stakeholder engagement, organize and facilitate workshops to design and document migration flows, data mappings, and transformation rules.Ensure alignment with business requirements, technical specifications, and migration methodologies.Develop and execute integrated migration test plans and establish a plan to resolve identified issues.Solid and demonstrated experience in ETL data migration, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, and remediation from various source systems to target systems.Strong sense of prioritization; problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure data integrity, security, and organization.Experience developing complex SQL queries.Proficiency in writing, executing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.Leadership skills to oversee and execute the data migration plan and collaborate with the project PMO to ensure deliverables are met.Understanding and implementation of migration strategies, validation strategies, and mock plans to develop strong migration deliverables.Expertise in translating complex business requirements to help other data engineers understand and transform data in the most direct and efficient way.Experience working in companies with more than 10,000 employees.Language: English or bilingual.Assets:Experience in companies in the manufacturing, transportation, automotive, or aerospace sectors.Experience in internationally operating companies with activities across multiple continents.Experience in multisite organizations. Job Description We are looking for a Data Lead, EDM to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team and lead data migration/conversion and master data management activities within our projects. The candidate will be responsible for applying data migration best practices and methodologies to establish a solid foundation that ensures successful, high-quality, efficient, and timely project delivery. They will also be responsible for leading work related to data models, policies, and other MDM deliverables. We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic and demanding environment, excels at guiding teams through go-live, is comfortable switching quickly between different contexts and program management tracks, and can find innovative solutions to complex problems. Relevant projects:Marine Project: Data migration/conversion from a mainframe and cloud-based financial ERP to SAP S/4HANA.Global S/4 Deployment: Data migration/conversion primarily from a SAP ECC environment to a SAP S/4HANA ERP and Salesforce.com environments for the EMEA region.You will have the opportunity to:Analyze data sources and requirements to develop a comprehensive data migration and MDM plan.Represent the Data team within the program, ensure stakeholder engagement, organize and facilitate workshops to design and document migration workflows, mappings, and transformation rules.Ensure alignment with business requirements, technical specifications, and migration methodologies.Develop and execute integrated migration test plans and define a plan to resolve identified issues.Work closely with stakeholders—project managers, project leadership, business partners, data stewards, functional teams, and integration teams—to ensure smooth migrations and on-time delivery.Provide guidance to the migration team on methodology, best practices, code review, and the management of deliverable and milestone dates.Design, develop, implement, and support robust migration strategies/solutions.Coordinate with migration, development, leadership, and functional teams to achieve delivery objectives.Support the definition of requirements, estimation, development, and delivery of robust, repeatable, and scalable projects.Serve as a leader in defining data management best practices and in driving innovation.
