Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Software Developer (ETL) to lead data and file migration activities from legacy systems to a modernized solution. The successful candidate will ensure best-practice migration approaches, perform detailed analysis, build conversion strategies, and support all stages of data migration through to post-deployment validation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver best-practice data and file migration solutions from legacy applications to new platforms. Analyze legacy data across various sources and formats; perform data profiling and recommend cleansing activities. Develop data migration strategy, mapping, interfaces, mock conversions, enhancements, and final conversion. Translate technical specifications into tested, production-ready applications. Write and maintain code, data-driven programs, and unit tests. Troubleshoot technical issues during migration, conversion, and implementation. Work with heterogeneous platforms for file imports and coordinate file migration activities. Define testing strategy and conduct testing to ensure data integrity and alignment. Perform post-migration audits and reconciliation. Generate exception reporting and oversee required data cleansing. Provide both pre- and post-conversion support to business teams. Collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand migration requirements. Mandatory Requirements7+ years of experience in data conversion and migration. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica, etc.). Strong experience developing data migration strategies, mappings, and conversion plans. Solid understanding of Information Management principles and practices. Strong knowledge of master data and transactional data concepts. Proficiency in query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL. Nice-to-Have SkillsFull lifecycle data conversion experience within enterprise environments. Experience with all migration phases: profiling, mapping, validation, audits, reconciliation. Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and writing complex SQL queries. Experience migrating attachments and documents from legacy systems. Experience with data conversion scripts, data cleansing, extraction, transformation, and loading. Familiarity with mainframe data formats, non-relational structures, and complex data relationships. Experience working with cloud storage (Azure Blob, SharePoint, file shares). Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Experience collaborating with development or conversion teams to specify load programs. Experience supporting cutover activities. Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-engagement skills. #D480
