Our Challenge Our client is seeking a Cloud Platform Services Specialist to support and optimize Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, Defender, and Purview, ensuring seamless incident management and service delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining ongoing service improvement and supporting the organization's enterprise communication and collaboration environment. Responsibilities: Fulfill service requests and manage incidents, changes, and problems related to Microsoft 365 workloads, adhering to service level targets. Evaluate and recommend resource requirements, dependencies, and policy implications for optimizing MS Teams, Exchange Online, Defender, and Purview configurations. Review new service requests and technology proposals, assessing their impact on operations and providing remediation recommendations. Assist in developing implementation plans, schedules, and resource allocations for architectural deployment and service delivery. Troubleshoot, upgrade, and support messaging hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring operational stability. Conduct problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution efforts to minimize downtime. Provide quality control during production deployments and support ongoing maintenance activities. Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate effectively with team members, management, and supported departments to ensure aligned service delivery. Support knowledge transfer initiatives and cross-training efforts to strengthen team capabilities. Work Experience: 8 years of experience designing, supporting, and supporting on-premises Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange Online, and enterprise email environments of similar size and complexity. 8 years supporting email security services such as anti-spam, anti-phishing, and access management. 8 years supporting Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams within large organizations. 8 years of experience with Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration across multi-server environments. Nice to have: 5 years of experience with requirements gathering, designing, and supporting Microsoft 365 services in cloud or on-premises environments. 5 years supporting migration tools like Quest Exchange Migration Wizard and upgrading/supporting Microsoft Teams. 5 years managing user identities, permissions, and maintaining security activities in M365 tenants. 3 years supporting migration from Skype for Business to Teams. 5 years performing e-discovery, retention, and compliance activities in M365. 3 years supporting bulk mail delivery solutions. 5 years supporting AntiSpam configurations. 4 years in the public sector or within a complex enterprise environment of similar size.
