This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale, high-profile initiative in the marine industry, offering stability, competitive pay, and the chance to work with advanced equipment in a dynamic environment.Location: Halifax, NSJob type: Long term contract Full-timeHere's why you should apply:Paid weekly accurate and on timeStrong health and safety programsMedical and dental benefits once qualifiedFree training programsNew and quicker onboarding processResponsibilities:Versatile trades professional with hands-on experience in rigging, mechanical maintenance, and industrial carpentry.Skilled in safe load handling, rigging inspection, and directing hoisting operations.Experienced in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial and marine mechanical systems.Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints for accurate assembly and construction.Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, and precision tools.Performs preventative maintenance and complex repairs to ensure equipment reliability.Capable of erecting, dismantling, and certifying structural components across industrial and commercial sites.Familiar with framing, installing doors/windows, and finishing work using wood, steel, and composites.Committed to safety; works comfortably at heights, in confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.Physically fit; able to lift and move equipment/materials up to 50 lbs. (or more as needed).Reliable, team-oriented, and able to support extended hours or overtime.Qualifications:Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaCertified Journeyperson Millwright with training in Confined Space, Fall Protection, WHMIS, and HSE.3+ years' experience in industrial carpentry, rigging, and mechanical maintenance.Skilled in blueprint reading, equipment assembly, and safe rigging practices.Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and varied weather conditions.Physically fit to lift 50+ lbs., adaptable to overtime, and shift work.Owns tools/tool pouch; team-oriented, safety-focused, and problem-solving mindset.Meets Canadian Security Clearance requirementsAre you interested in this position?
