Zuora Architect

Title : Zuora Architect Role : Toronto, On Position: Contract Key Responsibilities : Lead the design and architecture of scalable Zuora solutions to meet complex business requirements. Collaborate with executive stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to define Zuora strategy and roadmap. Oversee end-to-end Zuora implementations, integrations, and migrations, ensuring best practices and compliance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development, QA, and operations teams. Drive continuous improvement of Zuora platforms, focusing on performance, reliability, and automation. Manage and resolve critical production issues, ensuring minimal business disruption. Develop and enforce standards for Zuora configuration, customisation, and deployment. Communicate architectural decisions and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Stay abreast of Zuora product updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities: Architect and oversee the implementation of Zuora billing, payments, and subscription management solutions. Design and enhance complex workflows and integrations with Salesforce, payment gateways, tax systems, and analytics platforms. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-impact issues across Zuora and integrated systems. Define and implement automation strategies for Zuora deployments and operational processes. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and best practices. Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on Zuora-related projects and initiatives. Partner with DevOps to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines for Zuora deployments. Participate in executive meetings to present architectural options, risks, and recommendations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Zuora architecture, development, and implementation. Deep expertise in Zuora functionalities, including billing, payments, subscription lifecycle, and workflow automation. Proven track record of leading large-scale Zuora projects and integrations. Strong knowledge of Zuora APIs, ZOQL, and advanced configuration. Experience with Zuora-Salesforce integrations and custom solutions. Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Skillsets Expert understanding of Zuora platform, administration, objects, and APIs. Advanced experience with Zuora product catalog, charge models, and invoice template customisation. Mastery of Zuora order line-item features and subscription lifecycle management. Deep experience with Zuora workflow automation and deployment strategies. Strong integration skills with Salesforce, payment gateways, analytics, and tax systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting, reconciliation, and month-end processes. Experience with developer tools, Postman, and CI/CD pipelines. Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and provide training to stakeholders. Up-to-date with Zuora product updates, industry best practices, and architectural trends.
