Position Overview As an integral member of the Project Team, your job as a Technical Designer (sometimes referred to as an Architectural Designer or Job Captain) is to generate ideas and advise clients and team members on technical design considerations throughout the entire project lifecycle, from Pre-schematic phases through to Construction Services, focusing of highly complex workplace projects. This is a high level intermediate to senior level position. With emphasis on architectural design, technical data and processes, quality control and efficient use of time and resources, you will work closely with designers to ensure design integrity can and will be maintained at all stages of the project. You will use advanced visualization tools and AI to bring ideas to life, helping clients make clearer decisions while elevating the design experience and strengthening communication at every stage of the project. Primary Responsibilities Partner with Senior Designers and other design staff to troubleshoot and provide technical solutions for design challenges Review and approve engineering and MEP consultant's work to ensure coordination and compliance with design solution and timely submission of documents Respond to RFI's and RFQ's Ensure adherence to set budget and immediately inform the project leadership and client of any potential variances to the budget Execute drawings for tender, drawing detailing and construction delivery For smaller projects, oversee all CD production and review Create a master log of the project submittals Ensure design complies with all applicable building codes and standards, helping other designers to take these parameters into consideration during design phases Job Requirements As M Moser's Technical Designer, you bring exceptional skill in producing precise, highly technical drawings. You will thrive on innovation and naturally seek out ways to enhance the design process. You take pride in delivering work with outstanding detail, accuracy and consistency. While concept design may not be your primary focus, your role is essential in shaping the project through thoughtful, well-crafted design details that drive the development process forward. Qualifications & Key Competencies 5+ years experience working in a Workplace Design and/or Architecture firm in a similar capacity Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related Experience with entire project lifecycle Portfolio of technically complex corporate designs, with at least 5 workplace specific projects. Advanced skills in SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Suite' Ability to successfully support Project Team through project delivery: design details, construction documents, construction administration and site lead Possess strong architectural design and planning skills Certified Architect or equivalent in the location of business (preferred, not necessary) LEED AP / LEED GA (preferred, not necessary) Why Work With Us?
