Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Odours, Dangerous Work setting: Plastic products manufacturers, Industrial Responsibilities Tasks • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems • Participate in marketing plans and implementation • Oversee safety of operations • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments • Monitor quality and production levels • Maintain records on inventory control system • Enforce policies and procedures • Resolve conflict situations • Monitor staff performance • Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages • Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets Supervision • Labourers in rubber and plastic products manufacturing • Plastics processing machine operators Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software Scientific specialization Recycling Additional information Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Excellent written communication, Team player, Efficient interpersonal skills, Reliability, Proactive, Leadership Benefits Health benefits: Health care plan Other benefits: Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Who can apply for this job?
