Sample Prep Technician

Intertek (BML) is a commercial laboratory which specializes in recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. We are looking for dedicated technicians to join our team.General Description of ResponsibilitiesTo receive, prepare, and ship samples to conduct laboratory testing as requested by the client.Specific ResponsibilitiesPrepare and complete work orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationComplete shipping logs and system inventoryReport any discrepanciesCommunicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkersOperate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipmentFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulationsCrushing and screening drill core and bulk rock samples;Splitting material into charges for testing;Weighing, screening, and / or pulverizing test products;Preparing products for assay;General maintenance of equipmentKeeping the lab in a generally clean condition.Job RequirementsAbility to lift 25kg.Experience in shippingExperience with ExcelForklift license is an assetBenefits Dental careExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offVision careSchedule8-hour shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeSalary & Benefits InformationThe base wage for this position is up to $28.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
