Volunteer Position: Human Resources Assistant

Commitment: 8-10 hours per week

The Move Me Foundation is a non-profit, charitable, and volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing accessible, integrated, and high-quality mental health and wellness services to individuals and communities.

What You'll Do:

As a Volunteer Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our human resources functions, helping us build a strong, engaged, and motivated team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative support: Provide general administrative support, such as answering volunteer questions, handling correspondence, and maintaining filing systems for HR documents.
  • Recruitment: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Onboarding and training: Coordinate new hire orientations, schedule training sessions, and assist with the onboarding process for new volunteers.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases, including volunteer and employee information with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compliance: Contribute to the development of HR policies and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma in human resources or a related field (such as business administration or psychology)
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR role (Prior volunteer or non-profit experience is a plus)
  • Passion for mental health and community service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Move Me Foundation
