Job Summary

The Owner Operator Driver is a crucial role within our logistics and transportation team, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of freight to various destinations. This position requires a highly skilled individual who possesses a strong understanding of commercial driving and heavy equipment operation. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain your own truck for the transportation of freight.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Manage freight loading and unloading.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service during interactions with clients.

Skills

  • Proficient in heavy equipment operation, with a focus on commercial driving practices.
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repair tasks to maintain vehicle functionality.
  • Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise during transportation.
