Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team full-time. This role will focus on managing client payroll, payroll remittances, sales tax filings, and bookkeeping functions. You'll be working with a variety of clients, using leading accounting software such as SAGE and QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
• Process client payroll accurately and on schedule
• Prepare and submit payroll remittances and related government filings
• Handle sales tax (GST/QST/HST) filings and payments
• Maintain up-to-date bookkeeping records and perform reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting as needed
• Communicate with clients to collect required information and address inquiries
Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
• Proficiency with SAGE and QuickBooks (knowledge of both is an asset)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of payroll and sales tax compliance in Quebec
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines
