Mill Maintenance Technician

Scotts Canada Ltd., in St. Margaret's, NB, is seeking individuals interested in employment within the Mill. 

Job Description

Using provided tools, equipment, skills and experience, the Mill Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to ensure safety and productivity.

Applicants MUST:

• Work in a safe manner and display a good attitude

• Have reliable transportation

• Work independently and as part of a team

• Be capable of working overtime 

• Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions

• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

• Be able to speak, read and write in ENGLISH and be able to communicate well

• Be a licensed Industrial Electrician or Millwright OR be a recognized apprentice in either trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in these trades 

• Meet minimum performance standards

• Not have restrictions limiting one's ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment

• Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check. Note: This is NOT a requirement for current Scotts Associates

Applicants MAY have to provide a driver's abstract (driving record)

Shift is expected to be 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday and 4:30 PM to Midnight on Friday

Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement.

This is a UNIONIZED position and expected to be full-time, year-round. 

Wages determined by Collective Agreement
