Affirm College of Healthcare, Culinary Arts, Business and Technology is looking for an ADMISSIONS ADVISOR for our Hamilton Campus. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in sales, and preferably in college admissions.
Admissions Advisors are responsible for providing information about programs and workshops with a goal of enrolling students in our culinary programs at Affirm College. As an ambassador for the culinary school, you build relationships with leads, provide tours of the campus, and give knowledge-based information about careers in the hospitality and culinary arts. Admissions Advisors must meet weekly and monthly performance targets and create a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the campus through answering phones and greeting visitors.
Computer Skills
· Microsoft Office
· Comfortable with working daily on computers
· Fast typing speed (50 wpm +)
· Experience with a CRM is an asset
Duties and Responsibilities, reflective but not all inclusive
· Your primary mission is the enrolment of new students who want a career in the culinary arts
· Communicate diligently with new student inquiries by phone, email, text, or in person to provide information with a goal to register students for programs and workshops
· Advise students about the benefits of the workshops and programs, including tuition fees and other associated costs, always with transparency, and honesty
· Schedule and conduct campus tours for anyone who is thinking about enrolling to help them learn what is involved in a chef career and to determine if they would like to attend our college
· Provide students with information about funding, like Better Jobs Ontario, and help coach students who are making career changes
· Administer and grade Wonderlic entrance tests, designed to determine the interests, aptitudes and abilities of prospective students to make an appropriate program selection
· Maintain accurate records of all inquiries coming to Affirm College, and input data into CRM and/or spreadsheets
· Maintain privacy of personal data and security of monetary transactions
· Understand the needs of future students who are seeking skills training or a new career
· Be patient and offer support to students who have concerns with personal issues, financial situations, anxiety, self-esteem, and/or interpersonal skills to help them overcome their challenges or fears
· Inform students of new class starts and scheduling, school adjustments, attendance requirements, conduct and study skills
· Meet or exceed individual sales targets as set by the company
· Maintain sales records for daily, weekly, and monthly reports
· Attend Admissions Team's information sessions, training, and/or meetings
· Maturity to work autonomously without a lot of supervision
· Professional and clear verbal and written communication in English only
Compliance and Regulatory
· Learn about and comply with all regulator standards as set out in the OCC Act and the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security
· Follow all company policies and procedures
Compensation
· Base pay, plus commission, paid monthly
· To be determined based on previous experience
