Community Support Worker

As a Community Support Worker within e4c's long term supported housing programs, your role is pivotal in providing stability, recovery, and support to individuals striving for a better life. You work closely with residents who require enhanced levels of housing support due to past traumas, mental health issues, and addiction struggles.
Reporting to the Site Manager, your primary responsibility is to support the team in ensuring that the program meets the unique needs of residents while adhering to agency and funder requirements. Operating on the principle of "one day at a time," our long term supported housing programs follow a daily cycle, emphasizing a community-based approach to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Support residents in developing daily life skills.Promote inclusive community engagement and neighborhood relations.Organize events and activities that foster connection within and beyond the program.Assist in meal preparation and household maintenance.Manage wellness and food budgets.Administer medications and maintain health/safety documentation.Monitor and document behavioral changes and resident progress.Support the Site Manager with administrative tasks and reporting.What you bring to the team:
Diploma or degree in Human Services, Education, or related field.Minimum 3 years of related experience in direct service roles.Skilled in relationship-based and trauma-informed practice.Lived experience with mental health, addiction, poverty, or discrimination is an asset.Ability to teach and model life skills and wellness strategies.Strong interpersonal communication, crisis management, and conflict resolution skills.Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a vehicle (with insurance and clean abstract).Salary and Benefits
