Scw'exmx Community Health Services Society (SCHSS) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to fill a temporary position within the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Engaging and empowering individuals and communities to engage in healthy behaviors, make lifestyle changes that reduce health risks
  • Assisting with programming for elders and clients with chronic conditions, including home visits, assessments, supportive care, and programming
  • Guiding and referring clients and families to appropriate resources and services, and helping them overcome any access barriers
  • Documenting clients' assessments and care plans with an electronic charting program
  • Working with the health team to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases, e.g. immunization clinics
  • Position requires a high degree of flexibility, and will include other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Qualities:

  • LPN Diploma
  • Valid CPR C ticket (or equivalent)
  • Valid BC drivers' license
  • Knowledge of First Nations history and traditions an asset
  • Satisfactory criminal records check

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
