Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Manager, Learner Pathways/ACAT Secretariat, the Operations Facilitator plays a key role in coordinating day-to-day operations that support learner mobility across Alberta's adult learning system. This position works within the Ministry of Advanced Education's Engagement and Student Supports (ESS) branch to strengthen the Alberta Transfer System and learner pathways by connecting data, people, and processes across institutions and jurisdictions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead transfer and pathways data and research initiatives that inform transfer system policy and governance, stakeholder collaboration and data analysis and reporting, and improved access to learner pathways and mobility information.
- Coordinate provincial data collection and reporting (e.g. learner mobility data including Transfer Credit Awarded (TCA) and Learner Pathways System (LPS) data) in collaboration with transfer system member institutions and the ministry.
- Support cross-jurisdictional collaboration and projects with other admissions/articulations and transfer and like bodies in Canada (e.g., BCCAT, ONCAT, PCCAT) to advance learner mobility, information sharing, and research/data initiatives.
- Coordinate processes for new transfer system institution membership and support relationships with LPS stakeholders, including Alberta publicly funded institutions, First Nations Colleges, private not-for-profit and out-of-province institutions, and other education partners, to support operational problem-solving and data standards.
- Coordinate responses to learner and stakeholder inquiries regarding learner pathways and mobility, ensuring timely, accurate information (e.g., transfer, admissions, prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR), high school transitions including dual credit, micro-credentials, inter-jurisdictional mobility, and other learner pathways).
- Coordinate and support Articulation and Affiliated Committees and system-wide meetings, including coordinating committee meetings, membership, and the Annual Pathways Meeting with Alberta and cross-jurisdictional partners.
- Directly work with post-secondary and other education sector stakeholders in Alberta and Canada with a focus on post-secondary learner mobility and pathways, including in the areas of transfer, admissions, PLAR, high school transitions including dual credit, micro-credentials, and/or inter-jurisdictional mobility.
- Coordinate multi-stakeholder projects, committees, or strategic/operational initiatives.
- Manage and analyze data to support reporting, decision-making, and system improvements.
- Develop briefing materials, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

University graduation in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
- Previous supervisory/ team lead experience is required.
Directly related post-secondary institution and transfer system and learner pathways and mobility experience.
Assets:
- Ability to apply relevant Government and Ministry business plan goals, and priorities related to the Alberta student loan program to the work of the team.
- Knowledge of preparing briefing materials like Briefing Notes, PowerPoint Presentation, Executive Summaries etc. for Senior Management.
- A Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP) Certification or experience of handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of stakeholder and client management.
- Knowledge of business transformation, change management approaches and strategies.
- Best practices and methodologies in continuous improvement and implementing operational efficiencies particularly in large organizations.

NotesThis permanent position is located in Edmonton and works 36.25 hours per week, 8:15am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Consideration may also be given to the successful candidate to work from another urban center in Alberta.
